Terminator Salvation Review

I was kinda busy lately with work, that is why now only post about this movie... On 14/06/09, went to Gurney Plaza with dearest (since only the GSC there is equipped with THX surround sound in Penang) to watch TERMINATOR SALVATION at 2.30pm.

From the start, the movie was nice with lots of action and bombing where John Connor and the rebels attacked the base of secret labs that the SkyNet use for research. I love the part where John Connor was ridding a copter and was shot down and the whole screen keeps turning 360 degrees till it crash landed and he survived that incident.

Then the story begins to drag... The director McG was rather disappointing in lifting up to the TERMINATOR series... most part of the action feels like a copy from other movies for example like the Harvester capturing humans which almost feels like Stephen Spielberg "War Of The Worlds" where alien capture the people and put into their ship. Another weird thing is that although the world is controlled by SkyNet but it seems there are only a few Terminator models walking around the city like one or two unit only =.=||... Despite the addition of a few more robots to the movie by the director, McG, I felt James Cameron is still the best with Terminator 2. The soundtrack for TERMINATOR SALVATION was also very not good at all zzz...

So here is list of Terminator models in that movie:-

T-100

The Harvester

Hunter Killer

Hydrobot

The Modo

SO overall the movie was kinda "okay okay only" so just give it 3 out of 5 stars...

Lurving Kim Gary Hongkong Restaurant (Gurney Plaza)

On 06/06/09, went to Gurney Plaza with dearest... for Night At The Museum Battle Of The Smithsonian which starts at 12.50pm.

So we quickly go for our "Brunch" at Kim Gary Hongkong Restaurant... luckily that time still not much customers yet because mostly it is packed... and here is what we ordered.

My lunch set the Cheese Baked Rice with Chicken Chop and Cream Soup
Her lunch set is Spaghetti with Black Pepper Sauce n Stake and Borsch Soup

Our Fruit Drink...
My Red Bean pudding desert...
And finally the Sweetened Condensed Milk n Peanut Butter Thick Toast
So how the food taste like after we ate... my baked rice is nice, then her spaghetti eat eat liao her tears n nose running a bit *swt* she says too spicy liao the black pepper and too strong for her to eat... so she no like then i exchange mine with hers =). The bread we lurve it very much not too sweet the condensed milk and tasted very nice =). Drink also not bad and the desert as well.

After we finish our brunch we left quickly cause nearly 12.40pm liao...when we went inside the cinema we was late abit..but luckly not miss much..

So the Night At The Museum Battle Of The Smithsonian, they bring back the old characters and added a few new characters into the movie only and a bigger museum. Altough the movie is funny but still feel that the movie need more special effects into it since the museum is so BIG, but dunno why there is so few tings inside the museum..for example they have left out the dinosaur or animals section and so on..

So overall is just OK for me at least is still funny to watch. I give it 3 out of 5 stars for the movie...

Thats the end of our weekend on tat day outing will blog the rest later when got time =)

XMen Origins Wolverine Review

This is one of the best XMen movie that I've seen so far compared to the rest of the XMen movies directed by Bryan Singer (XMen and X2) and Breet Ratner (XMen - Last Stand). XMen Origins Wolverine which is directed by Gavin Hood does bring back Wolverine alive as the original comics version.

Hugh Jackman as the Wolverine character does blend well with him. They even added Gambit inside this movie which is supposed to be in the XMen team but was left out in the previous XMen movies...=) The special effects and action scenes is very outstanding. But the part where wolverine begin to stab and slash people seems fake as there is no blood at all on its claws *swt*

Lets hope there will be another movie about Wolverine(Hugh Jackman) again in future =)

So overall I rate this movie 4 out of 5 stars..

PS: XMens fans should check out this movie =)

Rating: 4/5

XMen Origins Wolverine Here We Come

So we reach GSC cinema at Gurney Plaza around 3pm on Sunday after shoping at Tesco, and we decided to use the KIT KAT the Box Office Movie ticket to watch the XMen Origins Movie.

So the GSC staffs accepted our tickets from KIT KAT *yeahoo*. Then the show was around 3.50pm. So we walked around Gurney Plaza and to the basement and decided to go Guardian and see the Johnson & Johnson shampoo to compare price. It seems here cheaper than Tesco *swt speechless*. Then she wanted to buy bread from Bread History cause she a bit hungry. While waiting for my dear to line up n pay at the counter, I saw a crowd gathering round a spot. So I decided to take a look why so many people there. Then saw a feng shui chinese hand artist *wow* painting for people based on thier palm and thier name. And based on the poster, he even painted for all the Dato like Khor Tsu Kun or lots of rich people before *really amazed* means he very famous.

So he started to see thier name 1st written on a paper then he begin to paint on a paper. The bigger the paper is the more expensive he going to charge. A normal size painting paper he charge around RM180 without a wodden frame. *swt*. Then his drawing is mostly the same, but I really amazed is he use only his hand to draw dragon with scale by just shaking his palm of the hands ,*hoe liao* then he draw the surrounding, garderns, mountains, little houses, after finish the background he write their chinese name using his palm hands. For finishing touch he chop his signature on it..*woala* all done...zzz total minutes he took to draw is 15minits++ I think...so good in earning money $$$ *hehee*

345pm reaching so we rush to go up to see our movie *weeeeeeeeeeee*
